摘要: According to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, “comparative effectiveness research is designed inform health-care decisions by providing evidence on effectiveness, benefits, harms of different treatment options. The generated from studies that compare drugs, medical devices, tests, surgeries, or ways deliver health care.” Since it difficult systematically review each study generate best practice based overall diagnostic accuracy, useful conduct a meta-analysis such studies. Our main aim synthesize combine yield proportions in two-sample setting according reference standard. Statistical methods combining sensitivities, specificities, log odds ratios are compared. A summary receiver operating characteristic curve constructed. Monte Carlo simulation conducted under both homogeneity heterogeneity assumptions. For illustration purposes, publically available example urology provided.
