摘要: A PROCESS IS PROVIDED TO EFFICIENTLY AND ECONOMICALLY ABSORB RECOVER THE SULFUR DIOXIDE CONTENT OF WASTE GAS STREAMS, THUS ELIMINATE AIR POLLUTION PRODUCE USEFUL SULFUR-CONTAINING PRODUCT. RECOVERED FROM STREAM, SUCH AS FLUE STEAM POWER BOILER WHICH BURNS FUEL COAL, BY SCRUBBING STREAM WITH AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION CONTAINING SODIUM SULFITE BISULFITE. ABSORBED INTO REACTSS FORM FURTHER BISULFITE IN SOLUTION. RESULTING DIVIDED FIRST PORTION SECOND PORTION. MAGNESIUM OXIDE OR HYDROXIDE ADDED CONVERT PRECIPITATE SOLID SULFITE, FILTERED OTHERWISE SEPARATED PROCESSED VALUABLE PRODUCT, CALCINING RICH ELEMENTS VAPLOR, OXIDIZING SULFATE RESIDUAL COMBINED PORTION, RECYCLED FOR SCRUBBING.
