摘要: During endosymbiosis with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi or rhizobial bacteria, the microbial symbionts are housed within membrane-bound compartments in root cortex nodule cells respectively. Their development involves polarized deposition of membrane around as they enter and membranes show functional specialization, including transporters that mediate nutrient transfer between host symbiont. The cellular changes associated these point to via exocytosis over past few years, researchers have uncovered several proteins exocytotic pathway required for endosymbiotic compartments. emerging theme is unique trafficking homologs splice variants evolved enable during endosymbiosis.
