摘要: This chapter attempts to review the geochemistry of isoprenoids*. The importance this field is being increasingly appreciated. Some data has previously been summarized in monographs written by Breger [1,2], and articles Douglas Eglinton [3], Kroepelin [4] others. Isoprenoid compounds are regarded as significant biological markers because their degree structural specificity indicative biogenesis. principally concerned with those isoprenoids containing oxygen functions, although some cases attention must also be given related hydrocarbons.
