摘要: One important application of fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composites in the retrofit concrete (RC) structures is to provide confinement columns for enhanced strength and ductility. As a result, many theoretical experimental studies have been carried out on compressive behaviour FRP-confined concrete. This paper provides critical review existing this subject, with emphasis being revelation fundamental modelling behaviour. Although explicitly limited confined FRP jackets which fibres are oriented only or predominantly hoop direction, observations made also applicable relevant significant axial stiffness, as found concrete-filled tubes new columns.
