摘要: We examined the degree to which ERP components elicited by items that are isolated from their context, either font size (“size isolates”) or frequency of usage, correlated with subsequent immediate recall. Study lists contained (a) 15 words including a isolate, (b) 14 high (HF) one low word (“LF isolate”), (c) LF HF word. used spatiotemporal PCA quantify components. replicated previously reported P300 memory effects for isolates and found additional correlations recall in novelty P3, right lateralized positivity, left slow wave was distinct nonisolates. also showed evidence effect effect, supporting role distinctiveness
