摘要: A standardized formulation is introduced for the lineshape problem–the effect of lattice vibrations on exciton absorption, and used in a Monte-Carlo calculation density states absorption spectra regime weak scattering. For direct edge, we obtain asymmetric with strongly decaying low-energy side while high-energy can be approximated by life-time broadened Lorentzian. The linewidth found to depend temperature as T 2/3 , 1 3/2 one-, two-, three-dimensional lattices agreement renormalized perturbation theory one two dimensions. discrepancy perturbational result ( 2 ) three dimensions ascribed which most sensitive disorder this case. shift peak linear low origin its sublinear behaviour higher clarified.
