摘要: The paper shows the results of geomorphological and engineering-geological investigations carried out along north-western coast Island Malta, with special emphasis on landslides. Field surveys aerial-photo interpretation allowed recognition, identification mapping a series landslides different type size, some which showing evidence activity. Coastal instability in studied area is deeply controlled by structural factors, such as tectonic stratigraphic ones. research envisaged multidisciplinary approach, also included landslide monitoring specific sites were selected for detailed investigations, owing to peculiarity processes occurring related hazard risk conditions. outlines phases achieved proved be fruitful thanks application methodologies study coastal Particular attention has been paid rock spreading phenomena, are widespread Malta due superimposition limestones over clayey terrains.
