摘要: This research uses the Consumer Expenditure Survey (CEX) data to examine cost of health insurance coverage for government as well private sector employees and self-employed. The findings show that, when compared with private-sector employees, self-employed spend more less on premium payments. Factors such education, marital status, region residence, age, family size educational attainment are significant determinants amount spent insurance. In addition, likelihood participation in Preferred Provider Option (PPO) plans is lower individuals than employees.
