Some hematologic and blood chemistry values in two herds of American bison in Kansas.

摘要: The data presented are compiled from two herds of American bison (Bison bison) in Kansas. In this study there were differences the mean values white blood cell count, neutrophil percentage, lymphocyte percentage and cholestrol, alkaline phosphatase, specific glutamic-oxalacetic transaminase concentrations between age groups animals under 2 years over old. Differences paralleled those found Jersey Hereford cattle. Packed volume hemoglobin concentration was considerably higher than domestic Bovidae. More is needed other country to better describe range normal variation individuals, population B. bison.
