摘要: A method and apparatus for implementing a handoff between radio access networks (RANs)(110a) deployed under different technologies (RATs) are disclosed. wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) (150) is equipped with at least two units to support the RATs. Each RAN sends list of co-located RANs in coverage area WTRU. The WTRU stores determines whether criteria met by one RANs. then initiates from current target if (110a). Alternatively, may send measurement report RAN, whereby selected initiate met.
