Communal feeding of nestlings in the Mexican jay (Aphelocoma ultramarina): Interflock comparisons

摘要: Abstract Observations were made on the individuals that fed nestlings at six nests in four colourbanded flocks of Mexican jay Arizona. Communal feeding was found one flock for second successive year. Data collected over entire nestling period show helpers accounted 46 to 68 per cent feedings five most intensively studied. At some certain brought food more frequently than did parents.
