摘要: The completeness and convergence of the pseudostate representation continuum states are studied for ionization atomic hydrogen by proton impact within framework two-center atomic-orbital close-coupling method. Three types expansions compared: Pseudocontinuum used (a) both on target projectile, (b) only target, (c) projectile. Satisfactorily consistent cross sections obtained three at intermediate energies, though latter two show much slower convergence. This implies that pseudocontinuum a center can complement another to some extent even they localized. Expansion fails converge high energies realistic CPU time, while treatments reveal deficiency arising from lack symmetry low below few keV. converged theoretical larger than available experimental data 20% collision energy 50
