摘要: This paper presents new evidence of spatial correlation in U.S. state income growth. We extend the basic econometric model used growth literature by allowing to vary across geographic regions. find positive rates neighboring states, but that strength this varies considerably region. Spatial is highest for states located Northeast and South. Our findings have policy implications both at national level, also suggest models may benefit from incorporating more complex forms correlation.
