摘要: High-volume PM2.5 samples were collected at Summit, Greenland for approximately six months from late May through December of 2006. Filters composited and analyzed source tracer compounds. The individual organic compounds measured Summit are orders magnitude smaller than concentrations other sites, including locations representative remote oceanic, urban continental aerosol. tracers used to quantify the contribution biomass burning (0.6–0.9 ng C m 3 ), vegetative detritus (0.3–0.9 fossil fuel combustion (0.1– 0.8 ) sources, 4% OC total, atmospheric carbon location Greenland. unapportioned (96%) during early summer period correlates well with fraction water soluble carbon, indicating secondary aerosol as a large supported by active photochemistry occurring Summit. To author’s knowledge, this paper represents first apportionment results polar free troposphere.
