Migrants' utilization of somatic healthcare services in Europe--a systematic review.

摘要: Background : Utilization of services is an important aspect migrants’ access to healthcare. The aim was review the European literature on utilization somatic healthcare related screening, general practitioner, specialist, emergency room and hospital by adult first-generation migrants. Our study question was: ‘Are there differences in compared non-migrants?’ Methods Publications were identified a systematic search PUBMED EMBASE. Appropriateness studies judged independently two researchers based abstracts. Additional searches conducted via references selected articles. final number included 21. Results: results suggested diverging picture regarding migrants non-migrants Europe. Overall, tended have lower attendance referral rates mammography cervical cancer more contacts per patient practitioner but less use consultation telephone, same or higher level specialist care as non-migrants. Emergency showed both higher, equal levels for non-migrants, whereas hospitalization than Conclusion: illustrates lack appropriate epidemiological data diversity categorization between studies, which makes valid cross-country comparisons most challenging.
