摘要: The studies on physical and chemical properties of airborne particulate matter were carried out in the UK atmosphere. Aerosol samples collected at Elm Road Observatory Site Harwell representing urban background rural area, respectively. components both PM\(_2\)\(_.\)\(_5\) PM\(_2\)\(_.\)\(_5\)\(_-\)\(_1\)\(_0\) mainly analysed for carbonaceous compounds, sulphate, nitrate, chloride oxalate. Size distributions aerosol investigated conjunction with study ammonia gas to stabilise semivolatile species atmospheric particles. Concentration composition compounds (organic elemental carbon - OC EC) clearly observed higher value than those area. OC/EC minimum ratio 0.35 was used distinguish between primary secondary as EC a good indicator sources. Sulphate nitrate showed relationship, indicating that two undergo similar formation removal processes Chloride commonly originated from marine weak correlation other major species. Oxalate is highly focused specie this there rarely available data UK. pattern size distribution oxalate sulphate suggest their pathway formed same processes. excess supplied during air sampling could be stablilsed yielded concentrations which expected forms ammonium salts. In contrast, ambient exhibited discordant behaviour experiment. Our trajectory analysis suggests important precursor sources continental area associated high pollutants.
