摘要: Abstract Background Single-event multi-level chemoneurolysis (SEMLC) is a single-session procedure that treats various limbs of patients with spasticity at multiple levels chemoneurolytic agents. Phenol used in combination botulinum toxin A (BTX-A) to enable spastic muscles be treated without overdosing BTX-A. Objective To review unintended effects (UEs) SEMLC for children cerebral palsy (CP). Design Retrospective chart review. Setting Pediatric rehabilitation outpatient clinic an academic medical center. Participants The study included 98 CP who underwent on least one occasion. Interventions SEMLC. Main Outcome Measures UEs, the goal achievement each session, and Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS-ER). Results total subjects 146 procedures were reviewed. Patients had mean age 7.56 years (standard deviation, 4.28); 57% male; 14 hemiplegia, 22 diplegia, 8 triplegia, 54 quadriplegia. Most SEMLCs (72%) performed BTX-A 5% phenol session. UEs reported 31/146 (21%) sessions, 16 31 being temporary weakness. overall incidence group received combined agent treatment was not different from only ( P = .267). Transient pain occurred 7 105 agents phenol. Dysesthesia did develop any patients. type CP, GMFCS level, number injected, doses medications correlated UEs. Conclusions using safe CP. It could option diffuse spasticity, because combining allowed more enduring or serious Patient family education essential prepare them occurrence common such as weakness pain.
