摘要: Summary Humpback dolphins (genus Sousa ) are medium-sized delphinids found in shallow ( teuszii ), (2) Indian Ocean humpback S. plumbea (3) Indo-Pacific chinensis and (4) Australian sahulensis dolphins. Information on the ecology, behavior life history of all remains scarce. Most study populations to date indicate that species occur small numbers, with most confirmed or suspected be declining threatened. Major threats affecting include habitat degradation loss, entanglement fishing gear. Research efforts conservation actions tailored each needed assess anthropogenic impacts, develop strategies eliminate mitigate threats.
