摘要: Implicit in models of palaeohydrological reconstruction is the assumption that a close relationship exists between climate, hydrological regime, and fluvial systems. Unfortunately, there can be number complicating factors involved, some which are becoming increasingly well known. Research into Holocene alluviation southeast England has demonstrated associated difficulties range from problem relating anthropogenically modified drainage networks to an understanding contemporary rates floodplain development impact prehistoric societies on valley sedimentation. A theoretical model presented whereby varying geomorphic domains contributing fill construction recognized. It suggested attempts apply this framework studies may assist realization more accurate former responses integrated within broader palaeoenvironmental context.
