摘要: Abstract The use of aluminium foams as filler materials in aeronautical leading edges is investigated. Particularly, the improvement mechanical behaviour filled structure respect to hollow one analysed by means standard bird strike impact tests. For this purpose, a collection AlSi10 were fabricated using powder metallurgical route (PM), and introduced into profiles, maintaining or reducing total weight composite (leading edge + aluminium foam) comparison with original (hollow structure). Bird tests carried out both types structures, comparing global deformation load transferred results showed that structure, 13% lighter than one, four times better terms an two transmitted load.
