摘要: Research suggests blinking targets are more alerting than steady targets; however, several factors can interact with to either improve or degrade its attention-getting value. Those include target size, color, brightness contrast, frequency of the blink, and time blink is at maximum relative it off dim during cycle. No guidelines were found for determining optimal amplitude (the percentage decrease in from a standard) interaction other characteristics mentioned above. 36 participants asked locate amd select blocks text on simulated air traffic control display examine frequencies, amplitudes, duration size text. The results support use amplitudes 75% greater combined frequencies 2 4 Hertz .15 (3.8 mm) optimum highlighting value visual search tasks.
