摘要: Domestication occurs as humans select and cultivate wild plants in agricultural habitats. The amount structure of variation contemporary cultivated populations has been shaped, part, by how genetic material was transferred from one generation to the next. In some tree species, domestication involved a shift sexually reproducing vegetatively propagated populations; however, little is known about impacted these species. We employed AFLP data explore amount, structure, distribution clonally domesticated Neotropical fruit tree, Spondias purpurea (Anacardiaceae). Cultivated three different habitats were included: living fences, backyards, orchards. analysed using measures diversity (% polymorphic loci, Shannon's index, Nei's gene diversity, panmictic heterozygosity), population (F(ST) analogues), principal components analyses. Levels S. are significantly less than found populations, although varies have greater proportion their variability distributed among populations. backyard resembles that but fence orchard 1/3 more most likely reflection relative levels vegetative reproduction. Finally, results suggest two distinct regions within Mesoamerica.
