摘要: Abstract The increasing attention to energy saving in buildings has led more accurate analysis of the thermal performance windows. In particular, use aluminum frames known a rapid development; thanks installation break systems, is nowadays comparable one wooden frames. numerous air cavities inside suggest deep investigation heat exchange process; paper, therefore, analyzes effect geometric and surface characteristics on overall profile. was focused emissivity properties cavity inner surfaces, since they play fundamental role radiation transfer; furthermore, frame evaluated when geometries some are changed with insertion rubber gaskets. All were conducted two different approaches: numerical experimental, obtaining good match between methods; validation CFD model makes it quick user-friendly tool for preliminary design optimization window high resistance.
