摘要: A pocket switched network (PSN) is dynamically formed by people who carry portable handheld devices. Interest in PSNs driven the increasing number of devices, several wireless interfaces they possess, as well their ability to store, and forward data. The lack fixed topology distinguishes from traditional networks, unlike other types mobile nodes closely follow human movement patterns. As a result, are faced with new challenges especially aspect routing. Although various routing protocols have been proposed, most them focus on optimizing performance networking primitives for networks such unicast, broadcast multicast. However, these themselves appear be insufficient due application opportunities presented PSNs. This paper adopts user scenario based approach determine current state PSN protocols. Specifically, four modes data transfer established six generalized scenarios. Due wide range existing proposals, taxonomy proposed facilitate analysis compatibility transfer. provides insights into approaches realizing next-generation detailed characterization scenarios respective modes. An exhaustive solutions.A novel classification complementing gaps taxonomies.A scenario-driven set design guidelines solutions. An instructive list future directions towards real-world implementations.
