摘要: Abstract Losses in the complete fire assay for gold were found to be less than 1% under ideal conditions. The use of polythene bags mixing each sample was shown improve both accuracy and precision assay. Fusion temperatures 1900°–2300°F times from 0.5–3.5 h showed only small variations recovery. optimal conditions fusion 1.5–2 at 2100°F, with a button weight 18 g, cupellation 1800°F. However, overall proved remarkably insensitive variation need determine silver retained parted beads is emphasized. Gold losses procedural stages established tracers; loss crucible most significant. lead foil as simulated gives misleading results. For synthetic samples containing 24.5–490 μg gold, average recoveries 100% (s=0.6–1.8). Application two ores discussed.
