Activation of the ret oncogene in human thyroid carcinomas

摘要: A novel oncogene has been recently found activated in human thyroid carcinomas. This was named RET/PTC and shown to be a chimeric gene, product of the fusion tyrosinekinase domain or RET proto-oncogene 5’-terminal region another gene H4 D10S170. paracentric inversion (10) (q 11.2-21) demonstrated responsible for H4/RET fusion. Thyroid tumors consist broad range lesions ranging from benign follicular adenomas differentiated papillary carcinomas fatal anaplastic Papillary have different clinical behaviours are associated with risk factors, thus they probably related genetic events. In fact activation is restricted subtype. Here we show 2 out 10 new cases
