Practical Experiences in Trading Off Ontology Usability and Reusability

摘要: This paper describes the practical application of ontologies in designing knowledge-based systems. We built a common ontology to allow knowledge sharing among several applications domain air campaign planning. In trying reuse this shared ontology, we confirmed previous findings acquisition literature: it is difficult simultaneously obtain high usability (i.e., adequacy for specific use) and reusability uses). article, discuss some reasons trade-off, present lessons learned about limitations current tools construction applications.
