摘要: The most important vectors of human Plasmodium in the neotropics belong to subgenus Nyssorhynchus. These species are generally sympatric terms their geographical distributions. Some difficult identify based solely on examination adult females using available morphological keys, these cases immature stages and male genitalia is required make correct determinations. However, epidemiological studies it necessary which found near humans, i.e. malaria transmission or evaluation control measures. purpose present study was evaluate discrimination different Nyssorhynchus isolated mainly from Southern Colombia (department Putumayo), morphometric analysis. Adult were obtained after rearing larvae collected natural breeding places progeny humans. characteristics allowed identification four subgroup Oswaldoi Colombia: Anopheles rangeli Gabaldon, Cova Garcia & Lopez, An. oswaldoi (Peryassu), benarrochi Lopez triannulatus (Neiva Pinto). nuneztovari (Gabaldon) Northwest included for comparison. Morphometric analysis differentiation all a confidence level approaching 90% principal components 10 wing leg variables, followed by canonical variate first components. We conclude that morphometrics may represent useful taxonomic tool this group its use should be further studied.
