Effects of long-term treatment with Dienogest on the quality of life and sexual function of women affected by endometriosis-associated pelvic pain.

摘要: Purpose The aim of this prospective study was to evaluate quality life (QoL) and sexual function women affected by endometriosis pain treated with Dienogest (DNG) for 24 months. Patients methods Fifty-four constituted the group were given DNG 2 mg/daily; 38 non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) control group. To define endometriosis-associated pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea dyspareunia Visual Analogic Scale (VAS) used. Short Form-36 (SF-36), Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) Distress (FSDS) used assess QoL, distress, respectively. included five follow-ups at 3, 6, 12, 18 Results Slight improvements in chronic observed 3 months (p<0.05) improved more from 6 24 months treatment (p<0.001). QoL a similar trend: improvement significant several categories (p<0.05), all FSFI score did not change 3 month follow-up (p=not [NS]) but it A trend FSDS No (p=NS). Conclusion Long-term 2 mg once-daily may have positive effects on life, confirming observations previous first 6 months treatment.
