The co-evolution of total density profiles and central dark matter fractions in simulated early-type galaxies

摘要: We present evidence from cosmological hydrodynamical simulations for a co-evolution of the slope total (dark and stellar) mass density profile, gamma (tot), dark matter fraction within half-mass radius, f(DM), in early-type galaxies. The relation can be described as gamma(tot) = A f(DM) + B all systems at redshifts. trend is set by decreasing importance gas dissipation towards lower redshifts more massive systems. Early-type galaxies are smaller, concentrated, have steeper high masses given redshift;f(DM) good indicators growth 'dry' merging. values change distinctively different feedback models, this used test such models. similar correlation exists between stellar surface Sigma(*). model with weak black holes best agreement observations. All simulations, independent assumed model, predict higher While latter observed trends, former conflict lensing observations, which indicate constant or gamma(tot).
