摘要: The coagulation behaviour of the new coagulant agent polyaluminium silicate chloride (PASiC) was investigated in this study. main purpose examination several possible derivatives chloride, based on different basicity (OH/Al molar ratio), silica content (Al/Si ratio) and preparation method (co-polymerization or composite polymerization) to evaluate respective them. Moreover, a systematic study conducted define optimum values aforementioned major parameters, order produce an improved product, comparison with commonly applied chloride. Overall, 32 silica-based samples were prepared OH/Al (1-2.5), Al/Si (5-20) ratios methods. performance PASiC products evaluated for treatment contaminated tap water (in terms turbidity NOM removal, as well residual Al concentrations zeta-potential measurements). Also, they examined tertiary municipal wastewater (mainly phosphates removal). Additionally, compared laboratory PACl, alum (i.e. Al(2)(SO(4))(3).18H(2)O), commercially available PACl samples. These experiments completed kinetics by using Photometric Dispersion Analyzer (PDA), compare floc growth rates. obtained results suggest that properties, should be between 1.5 2.0, 10 15 preferable co-polymerization technique. However, attention has given specific application these products, case (phosphates removal) more efficient seem lower 1-1.5).
