摘要: Early Childhood Interventions (ECI) are ideally designed to achieve a series of mutually reinforcing objectives with the overarching goal helping improve equality opportunity for children in poverty. In this discussion authors analize programs targeted overcome some or all cognitive, emotional, and resource limitations that may characterize environments disadvantaged during first several years life. Section II paper presents review findings attempt measure short-term immediate benefits early childhood interventions. III reviews literature addresses longer term interventions, such as program participants' improved school performance earnings opportunities later years, reduced probability participants engage criminal violent acts. IV summarizes economic rationale public support ECI programs. final V we address policy operational issues involved designing implementing intervenion
