摘要: Abstract Three cell lines used in three assay procedures have been evaluated for their suitability detecting viruses concentrates of river water samples. Vero cells proved to be relatively inefficient, BGM gave the best recoveries general, whilst RD were variable. The mode presentation system was importance, monolayers flasks giving low levels virus, tube cultures being intermediate, agar suspended recoveries. Using BGM-agar River Sowe virus varying from 145–620 pfu l −1 Avon generally much lower with evidence occasional high contamination (540 ). It is suggested that and as are suitable routine surveillance aquatic environment.
