摘要: ABSTRACTIt is shown that microwave power at 2450 MHz can be effectively coupled into a bituminous pavement to depth of ~I2 cm (4–5") without overheating the top layer asphalt road. It therefore possible, damaging surface quality, completely seal road cracks, so water infiltration roadbeds minimized and frost heave prevented. In autumn 1973, was applied transverse crack (24' long, 0.5" wide, 6" deep) on Highway 20 between Montreal Quebec City. The repaired exposed heavy traffic conditions during 1973–1974 winter, with promising results.
