摘要: Petiole growth of Rumex acetosa L., crispus and palustris Sm. in response to soil waterlogging was studied relation production the gaseous plant hormone ethylene. Ethylene monitored a flow-through system recently developed laser driven photoacoustic detection system, which allowed ethylene measurements as low 6 picoliters per liter. R. showed two-fold increase correlated with slight enhancement petiole that during treatment. Both strong elongation existing well newly formed petioles, 20-fold after approximately 7 days. Increased rates were related 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC) concentration slight, but detectable, forming enzyme activity. In on other hand, only very small ACC observed. Changes are strongly variation content The interaction between production/internal sensitivity three species is discussed their field location flooding gradient differential resistance toward submergence.
