摘要: Tuberculosis ranges among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. A diagnostic approach to a patient with possible tuberculosis includes detailed medical history clinical examination as well radiological, microbiological, immunological, molecular-biological histological investigations, where available. Recently, important advances have been achieved in these fields that led substantial improvements accuracy timing diagnosis tuberculosis. Novel methods allow for better identification latently infected individuals who are at risk developing active tuberculosis, they also offer possibility rapid patients negative sputum smears acid-fast bacilli enable prompt drug-resistant strains Mycobacterium directly from respiratory specimen high accuracy. In addition, promising will further optimize under development. future, therapeutic interventions based on results novel procedures can be made earlier care.
