摘要: Biomarkers are useful tools to help in disease diagnosis and follow-up. According the US Food & Drug Administration, biomarkers defined as measurable elements that can be used indicators normal biological pathological processes, or response an exposure therapeutic interventions. Molecular, histologic, radiographic physiological characteristics some of those (www.fda.gov). The term biomarker is currently being applied molecular markers define a specific status (1). Considering these factors, “ideal” should fulfill susceptibility/risk, reliable, for diagnosis, monitoring, prognosis, prediction pharmacodynamic response.
