摘要: Abstract The permeation and sorption of water in eight coatings below the glass transition temperature was monitored using capacitance measurements. For each coating deviations from ideal-fickian diffusion were observed. rate found to decrease considerably. This anomalous (or non-fickian) behaviour is known literature as pseudo-fickian or two-stage sorption. To analyse measurements further a new method developed. data transformed time-dependent rate. analysis resulted pseudofickian model, which could also be represented by spectral distribution rates. results agree well with relaxation model Berens Hopfenberg. It shown that Berens-Hopfenberg particular, behaviour, general,can understood influenced free-volume relaxation.
