摘要: Abstract This paper presents nano-sized carbon filaments grown by catalytic decomposition of ethanol on polycrystalline nickel foam. Our study is focused the effects synthesis conditions formation filamentous carbon. The rate increased as supply liquid into furnace and time during growth process, whereas H 2 concentration in carrier gas had opposite effect. most favorable temperature for highest was around 600 °C. We investigated role nanoparticles mechanism Tip primary responsible carbon; octopus-like were formed large about 100 nm diameter. It also discovered that surface break-up foam precipitated detected presence Ni 3 C after a long exposure to ethanol.
