Silicone oil for retinal detachment with advanced proliferative vitreoretinopathy following failed vitrectomy for proliferative diabetic retinopathy

摘要: We used sophisticated vitreous surgical techniques in conjunction with silicone oil injection ten eyes of patients rhegmatogenous retinal detachment complicated by advanced proliferative vitreoretinopathy following failed vitrectomy for diabetic retinopathy. After a minimum follow-up one year, three achieved total reattachment and two regained ambulatory vision (5/200 or better). Maintenance low to normal intraocular pressure was observed nine the despite some cases progressive anterior segment neovascularization detachment.
