Taxonomic review of sand flies of the subgenus Phlebotomus Rondani and Berte (Diptera: Psychodidae).

摘要: Subgenus Phlebotomus Rondani and Berte consist of important vectors cutaneous leishmaniasis. The disease its dipterous except P. duboscqi Neveu-Lemaire, 1906, are very much prevalent in southern Punjab, Sindh, NWFP, Balochistan provinces. So far has not been reported from Pakistan, however, presence Sindh can be ruled out. Therefore, view vectorial role the subgenus Phlebotomus, diagnostic characters, relation with geographical distribution four species this reviewed present paper. To help zoologists medical researchers for correct identification each species, key, differential characters photographs their structures also provided here.
