摘要: Numerous medical and psychiatric conditions can cause agitation; some of these causes are life threatening. It is important to be able differentiate between nonmedical agitation so that patients receive appropriate timely treatment. This article aims educate all clinicians in settings, such as mental health clinics, settings on the differing levels severity agitation, basic triage, use de-escalation, factors, symptoms, signs determining whether a etiology likely. Lastly, this focuses workup when suspected or unclear.
