摘要: Background In this study, we investigate the capacity of two different non‐invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) techniques (anodal transcranial direct current tDCS) and high‐frequency random noise (hf‐tRNS)) regarding relationship between duration their efficacy in inducing long‐lasting changes motor cortical excitability. Methods Fifteen healthy subjects attended six experimental sessions (90 experiments total) underwent both anodal tDCS 7, 13, 20 min duration, as well 1mA‐tRNS duration. Sessions were performed a randomized order blinded to applied methods. Results For tDCS, no significant stable increases excitability observed for either In contrast, hf ‐tRNS 7 resulted increase lasting from 60 poststimulation. While an intermediate 13 hf‐tRNS failed induce excitability, longer led only at 50 poststimulation which did not outlast until poststimulation. Conclusion Hf‐tRNS induced robust suggesting indirect proportional efficacy. appeared superior further systematic are necessary evaluate generalizability our observations address intensity modifiable contributor variability stimulation.
