摘要: This study presents the application of neutron tomography to analysis ironstone slabs found in a late Earlier Stone Age context (Fauresmith industry) at back Wonderwerk Cave, Northern Cape Province, South Africa. These have markings on surface that might be anthropogenic, and thus significant understanding emergence human symbolic behaviour. Neutron proved an effective tool for distinguishing incisions from lines are expression internal fissures rock.
