摘要: The insertion polymorphism of five transposable element (TE) families was studied by Southern blots in several populations the M and S molecular forms mosquito Anopheles gambiae sensu stricto from southern Cameroon. We showed that mean TE site number within-population globally differed between forms. comparison profiles revealed a significant differentiation these two (0.163 < Φ ST 0.371). cloned insertions non-LTR retrotransposon (Aara8) were fixed one form absent other one. only could be clearly located on chromosome arm mapped to cytological division 6 X, confirming importance this region ongoing speciation
