摘要: In Africa, the disease burden is changing with many populations now experiencing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and diabetes. The worldwide association of obesity an increase NCDs has been well established. African nations, estimated rates vary from 3.7 to 70.5%. This study aimed identify: (1) prevalence in clinic user population (2) knowledge attitude toward obesity. included 550 participants (332 females; 218 males). By body mass index (BMI), overweight/obesity was 58.2% associated age hypertension. Many (73.4%) thought that being overweight/obese does not promote good health.
