摘要: TRPP2 (polycystin-2) is a member of the TRP family non-selective cation channels that mutated in human autosomal polycystic kidney disease. It thought to function together with polycystin-1 (PKD1), large plasma membrane integral protein, as part multiprotein complex involved transducing Ca2+-dependent mechanosensitive information renal epithelial cells. has been implicated pathways variety biological functions and species, including cell proliferation, sperm fertilization, mating behavior asymmetric gene expression. Although its Ca2+-permeable channel well established, precise role, regulation subcellular localization membrane, endoplasmic reticulum cilium have remained controversial. The present review summarizes most pertinent recent evidence regarding structural functional properties channels, focusing on physiology mammalian TRPP2.
