摘要: Heterologous expression of plant P450 proteins is critical for functional definitions their enzymatic activities as well producing natural products whose biosyntheses involve P450s. Over the past decade and a half, several systems, using bacterial, yeast insect cells, have been utilized successfully P450s from different species. Extensive optimizations in each system focused on improvement levels, enhancement redox environment catalytic activity. In this review, we discuss strengths limitations system, recent developments applications system. We also principles behind Nanodisc technology, which utilizes an amphipathic “membrane scaffold protein” (MSP) to stabilize soluble membrane protein-containing nanometer diameter phospholipid bilayers, its potential research.
