摘要: This paper presents an overview of recent research completed by the Bureau Mines for manganese nodules and crusts collected from Pacific Ocean. Included are elemental mineralogical compositional analyses, methods analysis minerals wastes processing, process metallurgy. Data presented 16 major minor elements three mineral phases present in crusts. Methods their tailings include physical, chemical, mineralogical, leaching test procedures. Results processing show varying recoveries metals cobalt, copper, manganese, nickel.
